Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables is linked to a multitude health benefits, including improved mental health, less age related cognitive decline, reduced risk for disease, improved gut health and my favorite...anti aging and anti inflammatory properties. Getting the recommended 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day is great/can seem difficult at first, but I always say more is more. Starting most days with a fruit and vegetable smoothie is a great way to front load the day with nutrients.
